Intellectual Property (often abbreviated to ‘IP’) is a term used to describe a wide range of property.
Unlike the products they protect, though, IP assets cannot be seen or touched. Therefore it is often difficult to appreciate just how valuable they are. Having a strong IP portfolio enhances the value of your business when it comes to investment opportunities, franchising and, of course, existing strategies.
Think about this for your business, here are the different IPs for your consideration:
Patents – protects new inventions, covering how the product works, what and how they do it, what they are made from and how they are made.
Trademarks – protects your brand, your business name, product or service.
Copyright – protects literature, artistic works, photographs, music, dramatic works, software, databases, films, radio and TV broadcasts.
