Support local and the environment this Black Friday

It’s that time of year again – the deals are back on the high street and at the ever irresistible low prices. However in the midst of all the frantic buying don’t forget that your local community still need support perhaps more than the big high street brands, and there’s that increasing effect of plastic bag use to be weary of too…

Why not take up a new skill/ hobby or treat someone else with one by purchasing a One Mile Bakery Tadcaster baking class? They’re offering 40% off all baking class gift vouchers this Black Friday. “Bread is for sharing…”

You can also pop along to St Mary’s Tadcaster Church where charity shop ‘hidden treasures’ will be open for business and selling bargains just like always! You’ll never know what you might find.

Tadcaster Martial arts are also offering 20% off Blackbelt Friday deals on their e-commerce website ‘Martial Arts 4 u’. Check them out to find out more! They have had a 24 hour deal on every day this week so time is running out to snatch those last few deals before tomorrow ends.

One last thing, if you happen to be walking round a lot this weekend carrying all your hot deals, make sure they’re in environmentally friendly bags, not plastic. There are many places around the town to buy recycled fabric-made shopping bags that don’t harm the environment, such as at the Tadcrafter’s stall at the Christmas Market on Sunday.
