Tadcaster Harriers are once again supporting EnglandAthletics’ #runandtalk initiative in support mental and physical wellbeing.
The EnglandAthletics’ #RunAndTalk programme is supported by mental health charity Mind, and has been created with the aim of improving mental health through running in England.
The programme aims to get people talking about mental health, share their experiences and remove any stigma attached.
The sessions are free and are supported in Tadcaster by trained Run Leaders and Tadcaster Harriers’ Mental Health Ambassadors. Through running they aim to raise awareness of mental health issues and will be holding comfortable, sociable runs on the second Thursday of each month followed by refreshments at the venue in Queen’s Gardens.
These runs are open to non-members and are suitable for all, so it is encouraged to bring friends and family along. There will be two separate running groups, and runners can opt for a 2 or 5 – mile run.
The minimum age is 18 and it is advised to wear high visibility clothing in the darker evenings!
